When to Validate Your Contacts
We recommend validating mobile numbers:
After large contact imports
At least once per year – Regular validation helps keep your data clean and improves deliverability.
By routinely verifying your contacts, you can maximize the effectiveness of your text messaging campaigns and maintain a strong sender reputation.
Follow the steps below if you want to validate the phone numbers in your contacs:
Step 1: Go to Contacts
Step 2: Select boxes of individual contacts from the contacts table or use either advanced filters or search a tagged list and select all in your list.
Step 3: Select Enrich Contact Data in the upper right corner over the contacts table.
Step 4: Select Mobile Validation. Our standard rates are $.15 a contact to use mobile validatation.
Depending on the size of list, it might take some time to complete.
Once the mobile validation process is complete, your selected contacts will update to display either a green or red cell phone icon. A green cell phone icon indicates that the number has been validated as a mobile number and can receive text messages. A red cell phone icon means the number is a landline and cannot receive messages (shown below). Any contact marked with a red cell phone icon after mobile validation will be automatically opted out. These numbers will no longer appear as active contacts when adding recipients to campaigns. However, they will still be visible if you filter your contacts to display opted-out numbers.
