How to Verify Your Platform Number

Learn how to get either you Toll Free or Local 10 DLC Number Verified to send SMS/MMS and Ringless Voicemails

Toll-Free & Local 10 DLC Verification is currently required in the US and Canada for best delivery. Users who aren't verified will be blocked or experience filtering. Any traffic - restricted or pending - that is filtered for spam will see an error message (see the full list here). To avoid this, please submit your number(s) for verification as soon as possible to get full approval and to ensure your numbers are added in time for your event or campaign.

Note: Free trial accounts (if applicable) are limited to 50 text messages that are sent from a phone number. You will not be able to verify your number until after your trial period.

Toll-Free Verification

On average, Toll-Free Verification takes about 2-4 business days to get approved. It can take up to 2 weeks. Or longer if it gets denied and resubmission is required. If you get denied, please email [email protected] for help.

Step 1: Go to Phone Numbers on the left menu navigation under admin.

Step 2: Click the name of the phone number that is unverified.

Step 3: Click the verify button.

Step 4: Fill out the first form provided. Please include the business details of the business/nonprofit using the phone number (your business email, business phone number listed on website, business address listed on website, business url, etc). Once complete, go onto the second form.

Step 5: Complete the form.

Estimated Monthly Volume: Depending on need we recommend no smaller than 10,000 for smaller businesses. On average, we suggest choosing 100,000 (choose based on what you might send in your busiest month).

Purpose: Choose the purpose behind your messages. For Nonprofit: you'll want to choose Charity. For profit businesses: you might choose marketing.

Content: Write an example message that goes with the purpose, including opt out language.

Example: "Hi {first_name} Thank you for your support. We couldn't do {cause} without the support of people like you. To complete your donation, click {url-to-donation-or-registration-form}. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help"

URL: This might be the link to your contact form if you have one on your website, or a form for your audience to sign up to receive texts. It can also be a link to a screenshot of your form. If you need help in providing a link here, message [email protected] for help. An example is shown below.

Description: This is your use case or why you are going to send messages -

Nonprofit Example: Sending messages to supporters who have texted a keyword or made a donation.

For Profit Business Example: Sending messages to potential clients/customers that want more information about our business.

Step 6: Submit For Verification

Local 10 DLC Verification

On average, 10 DLC Verification takes about 5-7 business days to get approved. It can take up to 2 weeks. Or longer if it gets denied and resubmission is required. If you get denied, please email [email protected] for help.

Step 2: Click the name of the phone number that is unverified.

Step 3: Click the verify button.

Step 4: Fill out the form provided. Please include the business details of the business/nonprofit using the phone number (your business email, business phone number listed on website, business address listed on website, business url, etc).

Note: If you are using a form as your opt-in process, please provide a link to where that form is located or a screenshot of it. If you list a form as your opt-in process and it is not visible on your site or you do not provide proof of the form, your platform number verification could be rejected.

In case of rejection (toll-free):

If your platform number is rejected, you will typically receive a notification with the option to resubmit. You will have up to 7 days to complete the resubmission.

To do this, navigate to the Phone Numbers tab in the left menu and click Resubmit.

Note: Be sure to check the banner displayed for the reason for rejection. Reason listed below is an example.

Disclaimer for RallyCorp Trial Customers

Thank you for choosing RallyCorp and participating in our 7-day trial period! We’re excited to give you access to our platform and allow you to explore its features. During the trial, you may send up to 50 or so messages to test the platform. However, please note the following important information:

  1. Message Delivery and Filtering:
    Until your number is fully verified, your messages are subject to heavy filtering by mobile carriers, which is entirely beyond RallyCorp's control. While some trial users have been able to send up to 100 messages without significant filtering, others have experienced heavy filtering that resulted in minimal or no message delivery.

  2. Carrier Decisions:
    Carriers have their own policies and processes for determining what messages are allowed through their systems. We regret any inconvenience caused by this filtering during your trial period, but we want to be transparent that these decisions are solely at the discretion of the carriers.

  3. Planning for Larger Campaigns:
    If you plan to send important messages to an audience larger than 50, we strongly recommend signing up for the full platform at least 5-7 business days in advance. This ensures your platform number can be fully verified, minimizing filtering and maximizing your message deliverability.
