1. Scheduled Campaigns

How It Works: Scheduled campaigns allow you to prepare your message in advance and choose a specific date and time for it to be sent. This ensures timely communication without needing to manually send it.

When to Use:

  • For Nonprofits: Plan messages ahead of time for key dates, like sending reminders about a fundraising event or promoting a special campaign that aligns with a national day of service.

  • For-Profit Businesses: Scheduled campaigns can help you get ahead of holidays and major sales. For example, schedule your Black Friday promotions or holiday greetings well in advance to ensure they reach your customers at the right moment.

  • For Churches: Use for upcoming church events like Christmas or Easter services. You can also schedule a reminder for church members about a volunteer event or a special worship service well ahead of time to ensure everyone is informed.

2. Recurring Campaigns

How It Works: Recurring campaigns allow you to set a message that will be sent out on a regular schedule (e.g., weekly, monthly) to the same audience. You can modify the message between sends, and every time it runs, it will go out to all contacts, both existing and newly added ones.

When to Use:

  • For Nonprofits: Ideal for keeping volunteers or donors informed with regular updates. For example, a weekly "mission update" or an ongoing request for donations during a campaign drive.

  • For-Profit Businesses: Use this for consistent customer engagement, like sending out a weekly newsletter or sharing regular promotions. It’s a great way to build brand loyalty and keep your audience in the loop about ongoing offerings.

  • For Churches: Perfect for sending weekly or monthly reminders about recurring events like Sunday services, small group gatherings, or prayer meetings. You can also use it to remind your congregation about ongoing volunteer opportunities or community outreach projects.

3. Immediate Campaigns

How It Works: An Immediate campaign sends your message to all your selected contacts right away. Once the campaign is sent, you can add new contacts, but you can’t edit the message, and previous contacts will not receive any further communications.

When to Use:

  • For Nonprofits: Great for sending last-minute reminders about an upcoming event, such as a charity walk or auction, to ensure your audience knows to participate.

  • For-Profit Businesses: Perfect for urgent promotions, like flash sales, or immediate business updates, such as new store hours or limited-time offers.

  • For Churches: Use for urgent messages, such as a sudden service time change, weather-related cancellations, or a quick reminder about a special event like an evening worship service or guest speaker.

Important Note: After an Immediate campaign is sent, the original message cannot be edited, and it will only go to newly added contacts if they are added afterward.

4. Peer-to-Peer Campaigns

How It Works: Peer-to-Peer campaigns allow you to load a list of contacts but send each message manually, one by one. This gives you the flexibility to time each message for when you're ready, allowing more personalized outreach. Each contact gets a unique message, sent individually at your command.

When to Use:

  • For Nonprofits: When you need to reach out to high-value donors with a personal touch. For example, thanking major donors after a fundraising event.

  • For-Profit Businesses: Perfect for personally inviting loyal customers to VIP sales or events. You can customize messages for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries.

  • For Churches: Ideal for personally inviting new members to upcoming church events, small groups, or special prayer requests. It could also be used to follow up with visitors after their first visit, making them feel welcome with a more personal touch.

Final Tips

  • Peer-to-Peer is ideal for personal connections with individual members, customers, or donors.

  • Immediate campaigns are perfect for sending out last-minute updates.

  • Recurring is great for regular communication like newsletters, event reminders, or weekly service updates.

  • Scheduled ensures you don’t miss key dates or events like holiday services or large-scale fundraising campaigns.

By understanding these campaign types, you can tailor your communication strategy to effectively engage your audience—whether you’re running a nonprofit, small business, or church.
