New Feature: Message Sequences & Automation for Campaigns

Automate texts, voicemails, and emails in a smart sequence. Stop messages when contacts reply, click, or take action.

We’ve released a powerful new automation feature for Rally Corp Growth Plan customers. You can now create multi-step messaging sequences that save time, boost engagement, and respond dynamically based on supporter actions.

What It Does

Under the Campaigns tab, you can now use the Sequence Builder to:

  • Create automated message flows (for example: Text > Wait > Voicemail > Text)

  • Set delays between each step (such as wait 1 day)

  • Automatically stop the sequence if a contact:

    • Replies to a message

    • Clicks a link

    • Is tagged (for example, after signing up or donating)

How It Works

  1. Start with a text message
    The first message must be a text. Voicemail drops cannot be first due to compliance. This ensures recipients can opt out before receiving a voicemail.

  2. Add the next step
    You can add additional text messages, voicemail drops, or—if eligible—email messages.

  3. Set time delays between steps
    Choose how many days or hours to wait before each next step.

  4. Use smart conditions to stop the sequence
    The system can automatically pause or stop the sequence if the contact:

    • Replies to the message

    • Clicks a tracked link

    • Receives a tag (manually, or via Rally forms, integration, or webhook)

Use Cases

  • Volunteer sign-ups
    Stop the sequence when someone signs up via form or link.

  • Donation follow-ups
    Start with a text reminder, wait a day, and drop a voicemail if no response.

  • Event RSVPs
    Follow up automatically, and stop once they respond.

Compliance Reminder

For compliance reasons, voicemail drops must be preceded by a text message. This gives contacts a chance to opt out before receiving any further communication.
