Sometimes you need to clean up a campaign before it goes out—maybe you tagged the wrong group, added too many contacts, or need to exclude specific people.
Here’s how to remove contacts from a scheduled or unsent campaign in Rally Corp.
Important: Once a campaign has already been sent, contacts cannot be removed retroactively. These steps only apply to campaigns that are scheduled, in progress, or not yet sent.
1. Open the Campaign You Want to Edit
Go to the Campaigns tab from the left-hand menu.
Select the text message campaign where you want to remove contacts.
2. Filter Contacts by Tag (Optional but Helpful)
If you want to remove only certain contacts—such as people with a specific tag—you can filter your list:
Inside your campaign view, look for the Filter field.
Select Tag and choose the tag you want to filter by (e.g., “GTREMOVE”).
Rally will show only the contacts associated with that tag inside this campaign.
This makes it easy to quickly narrow down who you want to remove.
3. Remove Contacts Before the Message Sends
If the message has not been sent yet, you’ll see a Remove button:
Look to the far-right column next to each contact.
Click Remove to take that contact out of the campaign.
You can remove as many as needed before the send time.
4. If the Campaign Is Already Sent
Once a campaign has been delivered, contacts cannot be removed.
The messages have already gone out, so any changes would apply only to future campaigns—not past ones.
